Marcel Borgmann CEO began his sailing career as a child when he received an 8-foot clinker-built yawl. At the age of eighteen, he established the Bestevaer sailing school, which grew to include three branches.
After first gaining experience as manager of a major international organisation for yacht brokers, Marcel became the founder and director of Contest Brokerage in 1995 and served as General Director of the Contest Group until 1 September 2010. As sworn and certified yacht broker, Marcel has established a worldwide network of agents under the auspices of Sea Independent.
